봄날 안개 낀 밤, 정원은 쥐 죽은 듯 고요합니다
장미 한 송이가 동양의 나이팅게일을 노래합니다.
불쌍히 도 이 매력적인 장미는
아무것도 못 느끼고 듣지도 못합니다
그리고 사랑의 찬송가는 흐르는데
그저 조용하게 꾸벅꾸벅 졸기만 합니다

 

이렇듯 아름다운데, 추워서 노래를 못 듣는 건 아닌지?
정신 차리세요, 음유시인,
당신의 심장은 어디로 흐르는 건가요?
그녀는 시인의 영혼을 듣지도 느끼지도 못합니다
당신은 그녀에게 꽃이 피는 중이라고, 전화를 합니다
하지만 대답이 없습니다

In gardens’ muteness, in spring, in the nights’ mist,
Over a rose sings the nightingale of East.
But doesn’t feel anything nor hear this charming rose,
And to the loving hymn just swings and calmly dozes.

 

Not in this way you sing for beauty, cold and hard?
Come to your senses, bard, where do you stream your heart?
She does not hear nor feel the poet’s soul, fervent;
You look – she is in bloom, you call
the answer’s absent.
