안개비 내리던 날
趙司翼
작은 빵집과 꽃 가게가 아래층을 채우고 있는
둔탁한 소리를 내는 통나무 계단을 열서너 번 오를 즈음.
그 옛날 이름 없는 무명 화가가
가난을 그리다 간 흔적과
건반에 올려 보지도 못한 악보가
먼지 낀 다다미 방바닥에 나 뒹구는 모습을 연상케 하는데

긴 한숨을 타고 뿜어져 나오는 담배연기가
생성과 소멸의 반복 속에서
창밖 안개비 속으로 사라져 가는 풍경을 건네며
나를 맞이하는 시인의 모습이 아름답다

전시회에 내걸었던「하늘 시인」이라는 포스터와
릴케의 「장미」라는 글이 빼곡한 그림 한 장이
송판때기 벽을 채우고 있을 뿐
호사스러운 풍경들은 그 어디에도 없건만
왜 이렇게 내 마음은 따뜻하게 전율하는 것일까

향 진한 녹차를 건네는 친구의 미소에서 행복을 훔친다.
간간이 불어오는 안개비 바람에
서재 한편에 있는 한란(寒蘭)의 꽃대가 하늘거린다.

창밖, 젖은 하늘에서 떨어지는
시어(詩語)들을 주워 모으며
그렇게 시간을 놓아버린 공간 안에서의 그와 나,
안개비가 도쿄의 하늘에 내리던 날
친구를 떠나오기 전 나는 한 편의 시가 필요했다
행복하라고, 건강하라고


The day of the Foggy Rain

when a small bakery and flower shop
wlak up the thick sounding log stairs 13 or 14 times,
The traces of an unknown artist who painted poverty in the past
the sheet music he has never even put on the keyboard
It reminds me of a scene scattered all over the floor of the dusty Japanese-style room(tatami),

Cigarette smoke coming out with a long sigh
Handing over the scenery disappearing into the foggy rain outside the window in the repetition of creation and extinction
The poet who greets me is beautiful

A poster called 'Havenly poet' and
a picture filled with Rilke's  words 'Rose' were put up at the exhibition
are just filling the wall with pinewood
but Luxurious scenerylis nowhere to be found
But why is my heart so warm and trembling?

Steals happiness from my friend's smile when he hands me a cup of deep fragrant green tea.
An orchid flower stalk on one side of the library sways in the intermittent misty wind

Picking up the poem words falling from the wet sky outside the window.
He and I in a space where time has been let go
The day foggy rain fell in the Tokyo sky
Before I left my friend, I needed a poem  
I wished him to be happt, to be healthy
