Now close the windows and hush all the fields:
If the trees must, let them silently toss;
No bird is singing now, and if there is,
Be it my loss.
It will be long ere the marshes resume,
I will be long ere the earliest bird:
So close the windows and not hear the wind,
But see all wind-stirred.

서재 창문을 닫아 정원에게 휴식을 줄 때입니다
나무들도 휴식이 필요합니다
새들의 노랫소리는 들을 수 없지만
나는 기꺼이 감수하렵니다
망가진 정원이 회복되기까지는 오랜 시간이 걸리겠지만
떠나버린 새들이 돌아오기까지는 오랜 시간이 걸리겠지만
닫힌 창문 너머 바람소릴 들으려 하지 않고
바람에 흔들리는 모든 것을 보려합니다
