그리스 테살로니키에서
趙司翼 
늦가을 테살로니키 해의 푸른 하늘 아래
벽에 걸린 그림에 취해
밤늦도록 고전문학과 싸워야 했다
오래전 올림피아 파르테논 신전에서
역사가 만들어지고 신화가 뿌리를 내린 곳
괴테, 헤밍웨이, 니체, 이 들도
나 같은 마음이 되어
쪽빛 바다 푸른 바람을 보고 갔겠지 

내 맘처럼 안개가 자욱한 밤
눈물로 푸른 밤을 깨우며
고요한 태양이 일리아스 산 너머로 떠오를 때
그리스 경정맥을 자르고
지친 여행자의 외로운 이야기가
삼단노선의 구겨진 돛처럼 떨어진다
파도가 내 이러함을 지우듯이
별 우리에 갇힌 음산한 달빛뿐으로
공허한 마음은 결코 빛을 보지 못했다


In Thessaloniki Greece
Under the blue sky of the Thessaloniki Sea in late autumn
Drunk on a picture on the wall,
I had to fight classical literature until late into the night.
At the Parthenon in Olympia long ago
where history was made and mythology took roots
Goethe, Hemingway, Nietzsche, these people too
with the same heart as me
I would have gone and felt the sea breeze.

A foggy night like my heart
Waking up the blue night with tears,
as the quiet sun rose beyond illias mountain
cuts the jugular of Greece,
The lonely story of a weary traveler
falls like crumpled sails of the trireme
as waves erase all my form,
the drear moon in its cage of stars
The empty heart never saw the light.
