롱펠로우.비 오는 날

 

비 오는 날
헨리 워즈워스 롱펠로우
추운 날씨는 여전히 음침하고 쌀쌀하다
비는 내리는데 바람까지 불어대고
무너져가는 벽을 붙들고 있는 포도나무
거센 바람에 낙엽은 날리는데
하루 종일 어두운 날씨마저 쌀쌀하다

나의 하루마저 어둠 속에서 차갑고 음산하다
비는 내리는데 바람까지 불어대고
내 생각은 아직도 과거 속을 배회하고 있는데
청춘의 희망은 폭발로 무너지고
하루 종일 어두운 날씨마저 쓸쓸하다

내 마음이여, 아무 말 말고 조용히 기다려라
구름 뒤에는 여전히 태양이 빛나고
나나 당신이나 우리 모두는 공통된 운명이다
이렇듯 우리 삶에는 비가 내려야 한다
때에 따라 어둡기도 하고 음산할 것이다
