비 개이니 내 방안으로
홍수를 쏟아붓듯 햇빛과 바람이 들어옵니다
교회 지붕에 바람개비는 거침없이 돌아가고
고대 십자가는 피로 물들었습니다

골동품 조각처럼
날리듯 떨어지는 담쟁이 이파리
벽면 서쪽에는 높은 지붕창이 보입니다
마치 마을을 조망하는 눈처럼

네모난 금 가루와 원형의 얼룩들처럼
햇살은 반짝이고
종탑에 앉아있는 비둘기 목에서는
알록달록 보라색 잔물결이 일렁입니다

The rain has ceased, and in my room
The sunshine pours an airy flood;
And on the church's dizzy vane
The ancient Cross is bathed in blood.

From out the dripping ivy-leaves,
Antiquely carven, gray and high,
A dormer, facing westward, looks
Upon the village like an eye:

And now it glimmers in the sun,
A square of gold, a disk, a speck:
And in the belfry sits a Dove
With purple ripples on her neck.
